Around 25,000 households in south-east Queensland were left lacking electricity on Monday's dawn after powerful weather events passed over the region, bringing strong winds reaching 109 kilometers per hour.

Massive Ice Stones and Broad Damage

Residents reported substantial frozen pellets reaching sizes of seven centimeters in particular locations. Meteorological experts verified that different parts across Queensland had been hit with significant hail.

Damp conditions were expected to linger along much of the state's eastern regions this coming days as a atmospheric system continued to attract humidity against the shoreline.
